Travel Nursing Job Details

Position Title : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

End Date : January 5, 2026

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Alabama or compact state (required for Alabama nursing jobs)

Minimum 1 year of recent Medical / Surgical nursing experience

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred

Permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility (travel nurse eligibility)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Medical / Surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care

Maintain accurate records using Cerner EMR system

Float to other hospital units as needed to support clinical operations
