Unit Information : Number of Beds : 15

Number of Staff : 14 RNs and 4 Unit Secretaries

Type of Staff :

• Day Shift : 1 CNC, 2 RNs, and 1 Unit Secretary / Tech
• Night Shift : 1 CNC, 2 RNs, and 1 Unit Secretary

Patient Ratios : 1 : 6 (3 couplets)

Type of Equipment : PCAs, Welch Allyn Vital Signs, k-pads, breast pumps, newborn warmer

EMR : Meditech, CPN

Typical Hiring Profile :

Most Recruited For : Must have postpartum and newborn experience

Preferred : Charge experience

Typical Procedures Performed :

Care of newly delivered mothers and their newborns

Assist with circumcisions and newborn labs

Best Personality Fit : Team player, motivated, independent

Floating Area(s) : None

Dress Code : Scrub Color / Attire - Royal Blue

Weekends and On Call : Every other weekend
