Music Licensing Coordinator

Title : Executive Assistant, Music Licensing

Duration : 3 months contract with the possibility to get extended

Pay : $35 / hr

Location : Burbank, CA and New York City, NY

Description :

• Main point of contact for music over 80 shows (whether produced domestically or internationally) and promotional content (US and UK)
• Consulting on music-related deal points
• Gathering necessary information for legal to draft / advise on composer agreements
• Crafting and sending composer pitches
• Troubleshooting any music-related issues
• Liaising with music supervisors and composers
• Assisting with requests, approvals, etc. for marketing / promotion / press / soundtracks associated with show premieres or special initiatives
• Main music supervisor for in-house studio productions, handling all music needs on select shows (e.g., composer pitches, liaising with legal on composer agreements, quote requests / confirmations for licensed music, etc)
• Assisting with music (assets retrieval, asset approvals, music research, clearing / licensing music, assisting with composer searches, etc.) for magazine and social editorial needs
• Advise on music rights for legacy content and re-purposed content; liaising with music legal as necessary
• Managing workflow for obtaining and tracking synchronization and recording licenses from rightsholders and facilitating payments by finance with music legal and others

Basic Qualifications :

2-3 Years Administrative / Coordinator Exp

1-2 Years Music Exp including knowledge of terminology & requirements needed for use of music Music Rights associated with Television

Proficient with MS-Office Suite
