Community Coordinator

Overview

The Community Coordinator acts in lieu of family, providing a variety of services to the Sisters of Notre Dame residing at Notre Dame du Lac.

Responsibilities

• Foster community among the sisters
• Provide transportation for sisters to MD appointments and log the visit, diagnosis and any medication changes
• Dispense medicine, take blood pressure and wound care
• Ability to give medical assistance for invasive medical needs
• Visit sisters in the hospital and in rehabilitation settings
• Accompany sisters to ER as needed
• Coordinate transportation for family visits, retreats, days of prayer, unit meetings
• Respond to concerns of sisters
• Assist sisters with personal budgets as needed
• Make purchases for the sister-residents as needed
• Assist Sisters with accessing opportunities for prayer and reflection
• Keep sisters up to date regarding happenings in their units and in the ND international community
• Facilitate birthday and holiday celebrations
• Be available for emergencies; provide coverage on a 7-day rotating schedule and on-call (including nights and weekends)
• Maintain confidentiality
