Job descriptionThe Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP), ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience with financial software, and a passion for the music industry. Oversee all aspects of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP). Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations to verify account balances. Prepare and maintain journal entries in accordance with accounting standards. Generate financial reports and analysis to support business decision-making. Maintain accounting policies and procedures while seeking opportunities to improve and streamline processes. Review customer insertion orders to ensure all items / services are properly invoiced. Manage ad-hoc projects or tasks as requested by management. Develop and maintain a checklist to ensure that all invoices for the period have been created and sent. Collaborate with external tax accountants to ensure timely reporting and compliance. Proficient in Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other advanced functions). Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential. Experience working with large amounts of data to generate insights and reports. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Why Join Us?
