Certifications : Infection Preventionist Certification required.

Must-Have :

DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Valid Arizona Driver's License is required.

Description :

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Nurse for a flexible schedule.

Options for shifts include 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 8am-5pm.

The role may require varied weekends.

The Quality Assurance Nurse will cover QA Nurse / Staff Education and Infection Preventionist responsibilities.

This position involves implementing policies and procedures pertaining to quality assurance using nursing home regulations and facility practices.

The nurse will gather and analyze data through audits, interviews, and other activities to monitor compliance with policies and regulations across all disciplines and departments.

Reviewing monthly reports and developing performance improvement plans will be part of the duties.

The Quality Assurance Nurse will prepare and distribute reports summarizing the status of facility compliance with established quality assurance goals.

Assisting supervisors and managers in developing and implementing corrective action plans is required.

Monitoring facility plans for correcting deficiencies identified by surveying agencies is essential.

The nurse ensures compliance with state, federal, and regulatory agency requirements.

Investigating incidents of non-compliance and allegations of abuse, neglect, and mistreatment of residents will be part of the role.

The Quality Assurance Nurse will coordinate preparation for surveys and facilitate internal committee meetings.

Identifying training needs and developing educational programs for staff related to quality assurance and compliance will be necessary.

Conducting surveillance rounds to confirm compliance with individual care plans for residents is required.

Staying informed on current information and attending educational opportunities is expected.

Knowledge of management principles, facility policies, quality assurance principles, and basic statistical techniques are essential.

Skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities are necessary for success in this role.

The ability to analyze information, coordinate training programs, and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization is required.
