Test Automation Engineer
Job Description : Responsibilities :
Responsibilities :
- Translate business and functional requirements to create appropriate test documentation (scripts, test plans, etc.) and acceptance criteria using the Gherkin language.
- Develop, execute, and maintain JAVA code and automated test scripts for regression, API, and usability tests.
- Develop test automation strategies and approaches that incorporate multiple phases of testing.
- Maintain automated test environments in a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) framework.
- Manage and maintain quality-related metrics like unit test coverage and testing progress.
- Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of project testing documentation in accordance with department policies, procedures, and Treasury standards.
- Log defects and enhancements into Jira.
- Adhere to team testing and security standards.
- Assist in manual testing and UAT preparation as needed.
- Collaborate with the team and all members of the Scrum team to ensure the appropriate implementation of requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in automated testing.
- Highly developed competency with Selenium HQ.
- Experience with Java.
- Experience with Bamboo or comparable scripting language.
- Experience with JIRA and Xray is beneficial.
- Understanding of creating reusable test data.
- Experience with API testing.
- Experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ and experience with a source control tool.
- knowledgeable of Gherkin language.
- Experience with Cucumber is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills and written communications.
- High standards of confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and trust.
