Systems Software Architect

Job DescriptionArchitects, designs and provides technical oversight and direction of the development of cloud software for all innovation projects in the systems architecture group in the office of the CTO including system software, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and applications, as well as software structure and validation direction.

Researches and designs optimal end to end cloud computing software solutions for cloud, AI, orchestration, enterprise, microservices, and / or distributed computing.

Engages with major customers to understand use cases, participates in open source to influence architectures and optimize software, and interacts with technologists, developers and product / product managers across Intel to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

Makes design choices focused on hardware adaptability, manageability, scalability, usability, and resiliency for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms.

QualificationsMinimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications : 5 years of industry experience as a software architectExperience in designing systems software for new hardware - including those that are built on custom silicon and FPGAsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer EngineeringRelevent programming experience in the following : Programming experience in C / C++, Knowledge in scripting languages, tools (Python), Debug and testing, Performance optimization and Data analysis skillsPreferred Qualifications : Experience in development software for new AI acceleratorsOpen Source software developmentDevelopment with tools like Intel OneAPI or Nvidia CUDAWork experience with modern AI frameworks like Pytorch, Tensorflow.

00-$359,585.00*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experienceWorking ModelThis role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.

This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
