Pay Range : $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Job description :

Dreams of America is looking for a (DSP) Direct Support Professional / Counselor to help inspire our students to inspire themselves. Our top priority is our students, and we want our staff to share in our excitement to change people's lives!

Responsibilities :

• Assist students to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals.
• Assist people with disabilities in developing social, motivational, and life skills.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of students.
• Other duties as needed.

Our Requirements :

Must enjoy helping people above everything else.

Experience in working with people with disabilities is a major plus.

Ability to adhere to regulations and standards.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving ability.

Ability to inspire and motivate.

Ability to handle more than one student simultaneously.

Other duties as needed.

Opening is for our Irvine location only.

Must be able to drive company vehicles when needed.

Must fulfill state requirements which include Live Scan and Physical

CPR / First Aid Certification

Reliable Vehicle that will seat up to 4 students.

Physical Requirements

The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, and be mobile while performing the duties of this job, as well as use stairs occasionally.

Our Benefits :

Full Time

Monday - Friday 9am to 3pm

No weekends

Additional hours available

Pay : Up to $22.00 an hour based on experience
