Job Title : Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN)

Location : Asheville, NC (28801) – Western North Carolina healthcare jobs

Unit : 6 West Neurosciences, Main Campus, 36-bed Telemetry unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 7 / 2025 – End : 3 / 8 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00am – 7 : 00pm), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs

EMR System : Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical nursing experience

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

NIH Stroke Scale certification

Neurosciences or neuro nursing experience preferred

Strong communication and self-motivation skills

Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care on a busy Neurosciences Telemetry unit

Monitor and assess patients with neurological and cardiac conditions

Perform clinical procedures including Foley catheter insertion and IV starts

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (RNs, CNAs, HUCs)

Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed

Comply with hospital policies and unit guidelines

Participate in every other weekend rotation
