The Director of Human Resources is a key member of that leadership team, responsible for leading both the strategic and operational aspects of the HR function. This position shapes and implements the organization’s people strategy and cultural development to foster engagement, inclusion, and retention across all levels of the workforce.
The role oversees all HR operations including employer branding, organizational design, workforce planning, recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development, compliance, benefits, performance management, HR technology, people analytics, and organizational culture. The Director partners closely with senior leadership to build innovative practices and systems that strengthen the organization for long-term success while remaining responsive to the day-to-day needs of a service-oriented environment. The position also manages a small HR team and oversees HR vendor relations.
Compensation : $130,000-150,000

Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, addressing concerns with fairness and confidentiality.Drive employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and regular feedback mechanisms.Promote proactive communication and a positive employee experience across all levels.Training & Development
Identify and implement leadership, compliance, and professional development programs.Foster career growth and internal mobility through skills training and career pathway programs.Compliance & Policy Administration
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.Maintain HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.Oversee workplace safety and risk management efforts.Compensation, Benefits & Rewards
Manage benefits and payroll processes, ensuring fairness and competitiveness.Conduct market benchmarking and partner with Finance on compensation planning and budgeting.Recommend innovative benefits and rewards to enhance employee well-being.Technology, Reporting & Data
Develop a People Analytics function to measure HR effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.Evaluate and integrate HR technology and self-service tools to improve efficiency and scalability.Oversee HR reporting for leadership, compliance, and Board purposes.Performance & Culture
Lead performance management processes and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Partner with managers on goal-setting, coaching, and talent development.Champion an inclusive, employee-centered culture aligned with organizational mission and values.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.Progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or other service-oriented environments.Proven experience managing HR teams and leading organizational change.Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.Demonstrated success in workforce planning, compensation management, and data-driven HR initiatives.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Strategic thinker with strong operational execution abilities.Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace environment.Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
