About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 2 years in ICU
License : Active RN License
Certifications : BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS, CRRT, and CCRN preferred not required
Must-Have :
2 plus years in ICU with some stepdown experience
Must be able to titrate drips and have vent experience
Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
Description :
Candidates should have experience with common diagnoses such as cardiac arrest, COVID-19 patients, patients under investigation for COVID, CVAs post t-PA, non-threatening bleeds, sepsis, and DKA.
Experience with CRRT, Continuous BiPap, intubated patients post-RRTs and MSETs, Artic Sun, and EKOS is preferred.
Nurses will be responsible for titrating drips and managing devices such as ventilators, Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow.
Clinical Technicians will provide support with a ratio of 1 : 6 for activities such as care, vital signs, EKGs, IV starts, Foley insertion, and Accuchecks.
There will be no monitor techs for CCU patients; nurses are expected to read and interpret their own EKG strips.
Self-scheduling is allowed, and block scheduling is available for six weeks at a time.
Weekend requirements include every other weekend, and holiday commitments include one major and one minor holiday.
There are no call or standby requirements.
Uniform color is navy blue.
The unit-specific orientation involves three shifts with a preceptor.
