Location : Arlington Heights, Illinois 60005 (Chicago area)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Job

Unit : Emergency Department (Level 2 Trauma Center)

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : February 28, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour evenings (3 : 00pm – 3 : 30am)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Sunday–Saturday; every other weekend required; must be available for 2 of the 3 major holidays if needed

Dress Code : Royal blue scrubs

Orientation : Schedule TBD; may include at least one day shift for onboarding

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2010–$2150

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois

Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center

Previous travel nursing experience required

Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or TNS, CPI (preferred)

Experience caring for all age groups (infant to geriatric)

Proficiency with EPIC EMR (must be able to test out of training)

Strong clinical skills, self-starter, flexible, and adaptable

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department

Rapidly assess, triage, and manage patients with acute and emergent conditions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care in EPIC EMR

Demonstrate adaptability during high patient volumes and surges

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development
