Tasks and responsibilities

  • Act as a lead person, as assigned, in the analysis and execution of the various mission critical client application concepts and initiatives.
  • Oversee and / or implements projects to enhance, modify, or change the current networking architecture as required, in addition to performing the duties of System Administration.
  • Performs work in multiple platforms, developing methods of upgrades, and mentoring other System Administrators and Associates as required.
  • Coordinates with other groups to resolve complex problems, document system implementation and play a key role in system integrity and consistency in line with existing and evolving standards.
  • Lead the effort to document implementation and fix procedures for the IT support team(s) and user(s) as applicable.
  • Coordinates and collaborates the review of the processes and approaches.
  • Lead efforts to interpret and implement standards and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Coordinates staff and contractor activities and completion of deliverables.
  • Communicate with users and other stakeholders to identify the functional gaps and coordinates / directs solution rollouts in the client technology environment.
  • Develops user and technical training materials as appropriate. Conducts training sessions for trainers as well as end users.
  • Produces metrics and status reports pertaining to change and release statuses.
  • Attend required meetings.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience above the trainee level in electronic data processing systems; networking design, implementation, and support and responsibility on a project basis for implementing network components to meet desired results in a LAN and Wide Area Network (WAN) environment
  • Graduation from 4 year college or 2 full-time years of the required education plus at least 3 years spent working in a LAN and WAN environment involving network design and application distribution.
  • At least 2 years (full-time) of direct involvement with the design and implementation of a government or private sector health care payer WAN environment or 1 year MMIS experience of a similar nature in a large state is desired
  • Has working knowledge of LAN / WAN architectures and equipment, data communication protocols, PC and network configurations.
  • Proficient in data processing concepts, practices, methods, and principles as it relates to PC client technology. Ability to effectively apply this knowledge in evaluating alternative proposals and recommending solutions.
  • Knowledge of IT standards, practices and requirements including evolving industry trends and standards.
  • Must be proficient in MS Windows XP, MS Windows 7 / 10 and MS Office Professional 20XX Suite.
  • Ability to function in a lead capacity, performs multiple tasks and work within short time frames.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).
