Senior DevOps & SRE AWS Cloud Engineer

Location : Jersey City, NJ (On-site, 5 days / week)

About the Role

Join a rapidly evolving central technology and operations team supporting key payment platforms for a financial services client. This is a hands-on position requiring deep expertise in DevOps, SRE, AWS cloud technologies, and financial industry operations. Successful candidates will thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment with round-the-clock support needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support in a 24x7 team environment, primarily covering the Eastern Standard Time (EST) shift.
• Candidates must demonstrate flexibility to work other time zones and shifts when needed, including weekends or non-standard hours, to ensure continuous team coverage.
• While we value empathy for work-life balance, adaptability and responsiveness during peak demand and critical incidents are essential.
• Incident management (client support), change management, and release management for production and lower environments.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and clients across US and international time zones.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, monitoring, and technology support for payment platforms.
• Write scripts, queries, and automation Unix, database (RDS, Postgres, Oracle), Terraform, AWS.
• Support centralized, co-located team operations in Jersey City.
• Assist in onboarding new technologies and integrating anomaly detection platforms.
