Position Summary
The Commercial Controls Install Helper is responsible for assisting in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing and programming for DDC building automation systems.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver license and clean driving record, insurable by company insurance
- Desire to advance in career through apprenticeship program or on-the-job training
- Ability to work well independently or as a team
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work out of town when necessary
- Ability to work outside in a wide range of temperatures
- Energetic personality
- Pride in workmanship
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
Qualifications desired
- Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1 + years previous HVAC Installation experience
- EPA Certification
- Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists
- Basic written and verbal English language skills
Essential functions and responsibilities
- Responsible for end to end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning and servicing on assigned projects
- Coordinates with team leader and customer to understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs
- Keep current on products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair
- Continually enforce safety to the highest standards
- Conducts preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning, performs function performance test, diagnoses and repairs complex control systems
