JOB TITLE : Intermediate and Senior Level Admissions Representatives (Consultative Sales)
REPORTS TO : Director of Admissions and Student Financial Services
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is seeking intermediate and senior level Admissions Representatives to join our Admissions team in Lower Manhattan if you are a self-starter whose passionate about connecting with others and the world of food we want to hear from you.
ICE is one of America’s leading centers for culinary education and the largest culinary school in New York City and Los Angeles. We are dedicated to helping students of all ages and backgrounds pursue their culinary career dreams.
Success in this role requires a genuine desire to connect and assist others in a team-oriented environment. As an Admissions Representative you will join a bi-coastal team that annually serves thousands of prospective students who are looking to pursue their dreams of a culinary education by attending ICE.
The Admissions Representative is a key member of our Admissions team and reports directly to our Director of Admissions and Student Financial Services. We support and reward performance, professionalism and team involvement. We also have fun, and eat well, in the process!
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a key, initial relationship with prospective students through consultative conversations that provide the foundation for enrollment.
- Manage a healthy pipeline of prospective students spanning the globe, from inquiry to enrollment.
- Execute personalized, high-quality sales communications through proactive phone outreach, email, and in-person consultations —driving measurable enrollment growth.
- Conduct campus tours, facilitate class sit-ins, and guide prospective students through housing and financial aid processes to ensure a seamless, supportive experience.
- Develop a deep understanding of ICE’s programs, outcomes, and value proposition to effectively match students’ interests and goals with the right educational pathway.
- Process enrollment paperwork accurately and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain detailed and organized records within the CRM, tracking every stage of the prospective student journey.
- Participate in and represent ICE at on-campus and off-site recruitment events, including high school visits, culinary fairs, and open houses .
- Collaborate with marketing, financial aid, and academic teams to ensure a cohesive, high-touch experience for each prospective student.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, sales training, and professional development sessions to continuously refine consultative sales skills.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of two (2) years inside sales experience required —preferably in a fast-paced, customer-centric, or education-focused environment.Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals through proactive outreach, personalized follow-up, and in-person relationship building.Background may include high-volume event sales coordination, membership sales (e.g., fitness industry), or private education sales , demonstrating a balance of consultative communication and results orientation.Experience as a Sales Consultant or Admissions Advisor with demonstrated success in creating trust-based connections, listening to client needs, and delivering tailored solutions.Track record of independently managing a pipeline, handling detailed CRM tracking, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive results.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a professional, engaging presentation style.Ability to thrive in a goal-oriented, competitive, yet team-based environment .Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new CRM or database systems.Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate prospective student needs and event schedules.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Admissions sales or culinary industry experience a plus.Personal interest or passion for the culinary or hospitality field is strongly preferred.How to Apply :
