Payroll Specialist
Our well-known Portland client seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist available for immediate hire! This is an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity that will allow you to get a foot in the door with a fun organization that's prized by Portland locals as well as visitors from far and wide!
Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
- Handle weekly / bi-weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
- Enter payroll / timecard information into system and manage PTO requests / accruals.
- Calculate deductions, garnishments, and adjustments ensuring accuracy.
- Review journal entries and prepare reconciliations as required.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll taxes.
- Ad-hoc payroll reporting and year-end support (tax filing, W2s, etc.).
Payroll Specialist Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent multi-state payroll experience.
- Exposure to hourly and salaried payroll processing preferred.
- Must have at least 2 years of ADP Workforce Now experience and exposure to QuickBooks.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary : $35 / hr. (DOE)
