Job Title : Mailroom Associate
Location : Golden Valley, MN
Job Type : Hourly Consultant
Hours : Monday to Friday 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
Pay : $18.68 / hr
This position does require 25%-50% Driving, using your own personal vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed. Must have a valid US Driver's license and no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
Essential Functions :
- Receive, sort, and process mail, documents, packages, and supplies; notify recipients as needed.
- Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs.
- Record and process accountable mail information; maintain logs.
- Track, trace, and resolve mail issues with USPS, express, and local delivery services.
- Prepare mail and packages for external shipment; coordinate deliveries and pick-ups (may include USPS).
- Perform quality checks on outbound mail; validate internal mail addresses; conduct bar code address lookups.
- Use common mail services including fax, air express, and postal services.
- Complete shipping forms or enter shipping information electronically per job ticket.
- Perform finishing work on documents, such as folding, insertion, and electronic mail distribution (open, scan, and distribute).
- Perform fulfillment functions : assembly, packaging, shipping, and tracking of kitted materials.
- Follow mailroom security procedures; barcode track or face scan incoming mail and packages.
- Log, transmit, receive, and distribute faxes in a timely manner.
- Manage shipping and receiving using automated systems; monitor and replenish supply inventory.
- Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements.
- Fully operate, clean, and maintain all mail and shipping equipment; contact service when needed.
- Determine output packaging according to packaging standards.
- Utilize mail equipment, including finishing equipment, inserters, postage meters, envelope printers, scales, Pitney Bowes Mail Management systems, and FedEx shipping systems.
- Drive as required.
Skills :
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.Proficient in reading, writing, and following English instructions.Basic PC and Internet skills :Open applications, create / find / rename / delete files, send emails with attachments, basic email folder management.Basic internet navigation.Introductory knowledge of MS Word and Excel (open, create, edit, print, and save files).Customer service and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.Data entry proficiency.Experience :
Prior experience delivering services in a client environment.Education :
