American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position in a cardiac unit, requiring a MI RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit in a hospital settingPatient population includes heart failure, heart attack (STEMI and NSTEMI), stroke, cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional medical overflowCardiac patients monitored via remote telemetry and on-unit monitoringCardiac drips are administered on the unitPatient ratios may be as high as 1 : 7 during periods of higher workloadScheduled for three 12-hour day shifts (0700-1930)Required to work every other weekendMust work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract periodNo call requirementsFloating may be required within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals as neededEMR system : Cerner Powerchart; Cerner experience requiredMain responsibilities include providing cardiac telemetry care and monitoring cardiac dripsOverflow of medical patients may occur based on censusScrub color requirement is Caribbean BlueMust complete 2 out of 3 major holidays if requesting time off during the assignmentProfessional conduct and attendance standards are strictly enforced and contract may be terminated for violationsPre-assignment modules (3-8 hours) to be completed within one week after offer acceptanceTwo professional references from supervisors within the past two years are requiredAll time off requests must be declared at the time of application\n \n Requirements\n
Active Michigan RN license requiredMinimum of 1 year recent telemetry experience requiredCurrent ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required (pending certifications may be considered if obtained prior to start)Cerner EMR experience requiredMust live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not acceptedFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyReturn staff must be separated from the hospital for at least 3 years before being eligibleUp to 8 hours of orientation modules must be completed prior to starting\n Benefits\n
