Overview
The Atlassian Global Events team drives customer engagement for the Atlassian brand and its portfolio of products. The team collaborates with sales, marketing, product and executive management teams to deliver Atlassian proprietary events and tentpole experiences. The purpose of these events is to increase brand awareness, drive business growth, build loyalty and educate attendees.
As a
Principal Event Marketing Manager, Internal Events
, you are experienced in producing B2B technology events ranging in size from 100-5,000+ attendees, for both internal and external audiences. You are passionate about digital and physical events that engage audiences, build community and drive business growth. You take a data-driven approach to event execution, with expertise in program ownership. You have experience building global event portfolio strategies and managing multiple event programs, overseeing event strategy, execution, and post-event analysis end-to-end. You will produce events that align with business objectives for customers and partners across various verticals, products, and priorities; including owning our sales kickoff event. You will manage vendor and venue partnerships, ensuring all stakeholders work together to provide seamless event experiences. You will conduct leadership reviews and post-event debriefs to refine our strategy, fostering strong relationships with partners. You may also take on workstream ownership across the portfolio, including content operations, event technology, and strategy development.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Lead program management and localization strategies for events you oversee, including Sales Kickoff
Collaborate with senior and executive leadership to define event objectives, target audiences, and desired outcomes
Lead and develop event strategies and experiences with key stakeholders to align with product roadmaps, messaging pillars, business priorities and executive vision
Clearly communicate objectives, project status and updates to team members and stakeholders
Directly manage and inspire internal and external cross-functional teams who support customer-facing event programs
Understand customer needs and how in-person and digital events can deliver against those needs to achieve business objectives for internal and external audiences
Leverage data to build insights and strategies; expert in event measurement and ROI tracking
Design event experiences that engage, educate, and entertain attendees while reflecting the company's values
Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve attendee experience and incorporate insights into future events
Address issues during events with quick and effective resolutions
Demonstrated contract negotiation skills and experience
Design and build operational structures and processes to ensure efficient teamwork across global cross-functional teams
Continually align and evolve event program strategies to business needs, maintaining processes, guidelines and standards
Manage best-in-class agency partners to create pioneering experiences
Manage complex event budgets including monetization, funding models, revenue modeling, risk mitigations, attrition and forecasting; reconcile invoices for timely closeout
Deliver clear ROI storytelling for events
Proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
10+ years of experience in event marketing roles with a brand side, SaaS experience a plus
5+ years experience with a high-growth enterprise technology company / client
Excellent written and presentation skills for senior / executive audiences
Direct experience producing various-sized event programs with strong attention to detail
Experience in event marketing domains including execution, content, tech, production and audience acquisition
Experience managing complex event strategies and portfolio strategies
Compensation
At Atlassian, compensation programs are designed to be equitable and competitive. The base pay ranges by geographic zone for new hires in the United States : Zone A : $156,600 - $204,450; Zone B : $141,300 - $184,475; Zone C : $130,500 - $170,375.
