Job Title : Buyer / Planner
Duration : 1 Year
Pay Rate : $25.00 / Hour
Shift : 40 Hours, M-F
Responsibilities
Maintain accuracy of product master data (lot sizes, safety stock, lead times, etc.)
Plan and procure raw materials to support manufacturing requirements
Review MRP, generate purchase orders, and monitor supplier performance
Track raw material inventory levels and apply PFEP methodology to minimize excess stock
Validate deliveries, manage supplier corrective actions (SCMS), and maintain purchasing records
Adhere to production and inventory control policies, including RTV and quality compliance
Support documentation of manufacturing processes, work instructions, and scheduling accuracy
Serve as back-up to Sr. Buyer / Planner for MRO purchasing
Apply lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices to reduce waste and cycle time
Generate reports, analyses, and month-end data for operations, HS&E, and Quality teams
Perform additional duties and cross-functional team support as required
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Operations Management or related field (Bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent work experience
2–3 years’ experience in MRP / DRP planning within manufacturing or distribution
Strong PC skills (spreadsheets, PowerPoint, databases, ERP / MRP systems)
APICS / CPIM certification desirable
Solid knowledge of procurement, inventory control, and supply chain best practices
