Youth Sports Official - Regional (Youth Sports)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum age of 16.
Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values.
Experience working with youth ages 3-14 preferred, if not will train.
Athletic background preferred.
Personable, outgoing, and service oriented.
Ability to resolve issues or conflicts on the field
Excellent oral communication skills.
Extremely organized, accurate, and proficient.
Certification in CPR and First Aid (within first 90 days).
Able to pass a multi drug screen test
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Youth Sports Official is responsible for officiating youth sports programs that are offered in a manner consistent with the parameters established by the YMCA of Greater Louisville.
This responsibility also includes supervising practices throughout the season. The Youth Sports Official is also responsible for maintaining the fields and gyms in a safe, efficient fashion while promoting a good relationship with program participants, members and staff.
The Youth Sports Official is required to monitor all policies, procedures for all programs, volunteers and staff involved.
A sincere interest and enjoyment in working with and teaching youth the principles of sports as well as Christian values must be shown.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
Ability to hear, see, speak, lift 50lbs, and jog up and down a field / court.
STATUS : Part-time, Non-Exempt
STARTING SALARY : $10.00-$10.50
