Travel RN - Intermediate Care (Contract Role)

  • Location : Utica, NY, 13502
  • Duration : 13 weeks
  • Shift : 12-Hour Day | 6 : 30 AM 7 : 00 PM
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Pay Rate : $2,160 - $2,340; (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary :

Seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse with experience in Intermediate Care / Progressive Care Units. The RN will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure proper documentation of all nursing interventions. This role requires floating within the department as needed.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct patient care in IMCU / PCU, following established standards and protocols.
  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Accurately document all patient care and interventions in the EMR (Epic).
  • Assist with patient transfers and support floating duties as required.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2+ years of IMCU / PCU experience.
  • Travel nursing experience required.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • Active NY RN license; verification required for all RN licenses.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to float as needed.
