What You'll Do
The Engineering Technician plays a critical role within the County's Traffic Engineering Team. The main responsibilities include traffic safety assessments and studies, managing / aiding in the County traffic count program, completing traffic signal designs and timing plans, and assisting the Traffic Engineering team on workload. Learning opportunities and potential for career growth will be provided. The Engineering Technician will be mentored and guided by other technicians and engineers within the group.

Work Experience
80% inside, 20% outside. Must be able to perform the following on an occasional to frequent basis; sitting, walking, balancing, bending / stooping, turning / twisting, low-level position, reaching forward / low-level, grasping, keying, and bending / twisting arms. Position requires lifting 0 to 10 pounds on a frequent basis and 11 to 30 pounds of force occasionally. Exposures may include, but are not limited to, changing weather conditions, roadway traffic, dust, dirt, exhaust and noise. Driving is required for this position and staff must have the ability to use a variety of equipment including but not limited to : small hand tools, traffic counter boxes, tubes, iPad, personal computer, printers, telephone, cellular phone, calculator, copy machine, video equipment, and personal safety equipment.

The full salary range for this position is $50,194 - $78,428 and preferred hiring range is $50,194 - $62,742 annually. The amount that is offered is depended on the candidate's overall skills, education, experience and internal equity. The offer would also include the County's benefits package.
