Bird Dog Labor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established grading and utility contractor in Alpharetta, GA. This is a replacement hire as the current Estimator transitions into retirement, offering the chance to step into a critical role immediately with steady work and long-term stability.

About the Role

As Estimator, you'll lead the full lifecycle of bid preparation for commercial sitework and municipal utility projects ranging from $500K to $5M. You'll handle grading and wet utilities (water, sewer, storm) across a steady pipeline of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate takeoffs and quantity calculations
• Develop detailed cost estimates and proposals
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor / vendor pricing
• Prepare bid packages and support client presentations
• Assist in preconstruction planning and scheduling
• Track costs and support project handoff to operations
• Represent the company in client and pre-bid meetings
