Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs)

Setting : Emergency Department (Level II Trauma Center)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : July 22, 2025 – End : October 21, 2025)

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit Size : 101 beds

Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 typical, up to 7 : 1 for ED behavioral holds

Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet department needs

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,530 - $1,640

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting

Experience in Level II trauma center and high-volume ED (100,000+ visits / year) preferred

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start date)

ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire

Strong teamwork skills and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback

Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department

Commitment to respectful behavior and positive patient experience (AIDET)

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations

Collaborate with healthcare techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams

Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document patient care in Cerner EMR system

Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed

Maintain updated patient boards and communicate effectively throughout patient visits

Adhere to department policies, dress code (navy scrubs), and attendance standards

Contribute to a positive, welcoming, and supportive healthcare team environment
