CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up and deliver customer units to / from Service in a safe and timely manner.
- Transfer Class 6-8 trucks or chase vehicles between TCI dealerships or customer locations throughout IN, IL, and MO.
- Positively engage with customers to deliver paperwork, documentation, or information to verify the work needed or performed, special accommodations, or requests.
- Ensure vehicle is presented in a clean manner and according to company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and other routine maintenance checks as assigned.
- Shuttle customers to nearby hotels or restaurants as needed using company vehicles.
- Understand and follow federal and state regulations regarding the operation of commercial motor vehicles and Class 6-8 heavy-duty trucks.

- High school diploma or GED
- Class B CDL with air brake endorsement and clean driving record that allows insurability; Class A CDL preferred
- Proven knowledge of commercial vehicle equipment and operating systems
- Understanding of federal and state regulations regarding operating Class 6-8 trucks
- Ability to pass DOT drug screen and physical
- Resourceful, collaborative team player with the ability to also thrive independently

- Mathematics - Using basic math principles including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, with accuracy.
- Mobile Location-Based Software - The ability to read traditional maps or digital resources, including mobile location-based software, including GPS systems, Google Maps, or onboard fleet management programs.
- Time Management - Managing one's own time independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role can be physically demanding and include standing, walking, climbing, and the ability to stoop, reach, bend, balance, climb in and out of trucks, and move about the dealership to communicate with other TCI personnel and customers.
During the same shift, successful candidates must also perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills necessary to safely drive equipment and operate the computer, telephone, radio, or conduct written correspondence.
The ability to speak and hear over the phone or in face-to-face business settings is needed to engage with customers and other dealership personnel.
To successfully complete the tasks of this role, one must be able to meet the requirements necessary to maintain a DOT Medical Card, including the ability to lift or move up to 75 lbs.
One must also project a professional appearance wearing required uniforms or company-approved attire as well as necessary safety equipment.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
