Job Summary

Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Now Hiring : 2nd Shift Machine Operator

Pay : $21.00-$22.00 / hour + $.50 Shift Premium

Shift : 2ndShift | Full-Time Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift production team. This is a key role in our manufacturing process, working directly on the warehouse floor with heavy equipment and contributing to our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Certified and experienced in material handling operations.

Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Pull, inspect, and verify product accuracy prior to processing.

Safely set up equipment to run material according to setup note specifications.

Follow work order instructions and process setup notes accordingly.

Ensure product meets setup specifications and record quality measurements (sampling plan).

Communicate with sales representatives to clarify or adjust orders as needed.

Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and perform general clean-up.

Manage material identification tags following written procedures.

Assist in packaging of material based on work orders and written instructions.

Maintain and use assigned measurement tools properly.

Operate weighing scales and record necessary inspection measurements.

Identify, record, and isolate scrap or non-conforming materials.

Provide feedback to supervision on machine performance and product quality.

Complete tasks safely and contribute to a hazard-free work environment.

Train others as assigned.

Support continuous improvement through Lean and quality-related activities.

Work directly around heavy machinery on the warehouse floor.

Demonstrate TKMNA Employee Attributes and Competencies.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math

Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Strong safety mindset

Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry

Forklift operation experience

Experience using handheld measuring tools

Computer literate
