Financial Analyst (Contract Management)
Western Door Federal is seeking a Financial Analyst (Contract Management) to support our government client in San Antonio, TX. Work is generally expected to be on-site in San Antonio, TX with the potential for hybrid or remote. Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Contract Performance Evaluation : Assist in tracking contract funding obligations, expenditures, and balances to ensure proper use of funds. Help verify that contract line items and task orders match the purchase request and purchased order. Maintain organized financial records supporting audits, invoices, and funding documentation. Assist senior analysts in preparing reports on contract performance trends and funding utilization. Help identify and document any potential financial discrepancies or funding adjustments.
- Budget Forecasting and Financial Modeling : Support the preparation of financial forecasts and models that track contract burn rates and projected needs. Input and update financial data used in modeling and forecasting tools. Provide routine financial updates and assist in reconciling differences between obligated and disbursements on contracts.
- Resource Allocation and Risk Review : Help compile data to assess workload distribution and resource needs across multiple contracts. Track funding changes, identify anomalies, and provide updates to leadership or senior analysts. Assist in maintaining financial risk logs and documentation.
- Project Coordination : Update and maintain contract financial spreadsheets, cost models, and status reports. Participate in team meetings to capture and summarize financial action items.
- Reporting and Documentation : Assist in preparing funding reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for internal and external reviews. Help assemble financial justifications and performance summaries. Maintain accurate, well-organized files to support audits, reconciliations, and budget reviews.
Qualification requirements include :
Education : Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. Alternatively, 2-5 years of relevant experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and / or Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) along with contract oversight can be considered in lieu of formal education.Experience : Proven experience in financial analysis, contract management, or related fields, with a strong understanding of DoD financial systems and processes.Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
