Being a Community Manager in student housing isn’t just about running a property—it’s about leading a team, shaping culture, and creating a place where students actually want to live, connect, and thrive.At our District on Apache community inTempe, AZ you’ll take charge of everything from operations and leasing strategy to resident experience and team development.You’re equal parts strategist and motivator—comfortable making data-driven decisions one minute and hyping your team up for a big leasing push the next.You love fast-paced environments, creative problem solving, and that unbeatable feeling when your community hits 100% pre-lease before your competitors even wake up. What You’ll Do :
Drive performance across leasing, marketing, and operations to hit occupancy, financial, and resident satisfaction goals.Build and lead a high-performing on-site team—hiring, training, and inspiring staff who genuinely love what they do.Develop and execute bold marketing and outreach strategies that keep your property top of mind (and ahead of the comp set).Manage budgets, forecast performance, and identify opportunities to boost NOI without sacrificing the resident experience.Oversee all things resident life—from move-ins and renewals to roommate mediations and midnight maintenance calls—with empathy and professionalism.Own the annual turnover and move-in season like a pro—planning, organizing, and executing with precision and energy.Keep Entrata data accurate and clean—because good decisions start with good information.Maintain an engaging, community-first vibe through social media, events, and partnerships that reflect the student lifestyle.Collaborate with regional leadership on property enhancements, capital projects, and long-term success strategies.What You Bring to the Table :
Minimum 2 years of proven leadership experience in student housing operations; multifamily experience alone will not meet the demands of this high-volume student market. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in property management, business, or related field.A strong sense of accountability—you own your outcomes and drive your team to do the same.A creative approach to leasing, marketing and problem-solving.Comfort with budgets, analytics, and Entrata or similar platforms.Proven ability to lead with composure and clarity through high-volume, fast-paced periods like Turn, August move-ins, Leasing seaons Availability for occasional evenings or weekends during peak times—you know how leasing season goes.Why You’ll Love It Here :
