CNC Glass Cutter/Table Operator

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

• Monitor AS400 ERP system and the ability to optimize the correct glass at the appropriate time.
• Become part of the team by communicating positively with lead-hand, co-workers, and supervisor.
• Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Loading and unloading glass will require crane operation and / or manual lifting.
• Ensure proper reading of tags for glass selection and department requirements.
• Ability to manually cut glass and pull sheets of glass when required.
• Break out scored pieces of glass and inspect edges for quality and reject if required.
• Based on tag information place tagged glass on rack, dolly, or A-frame as required.
• Transport racked glass to the appropriate department while following all safety procedures.
• Responsible for proper disposal of broken glass and general housekeeping within the department.
• Open new glass crates, move glass crates and pack glass crates while following all safety procedures.
• Maintain inventory.
• Operate a forklift as required, training will be provided.
• Adhoc requests throughout the plant as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Positive attitude with customer service orientation
• Responsive to change in priorities and immediate demands
• Possess organizational skills with continuous changes on glass runs.
• Prefer experience with ERP system.
• Would prefer one or more years of glass cutting experience.
• Maximum manual lifting requirement of up to 75 lbs.
• Prefer Forklift certification, will provide all training as required.
• Prefer Crane certification, will provide all training as required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to consistently lift up to 75 lbs at plant location.
• Be able to maintain composure in a continuously changing climate / environment.
• Be able to remain in an upright position for long periods of time.
