Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Accurately inspects finished products to meet production standards before it's shipped to customer.
  • Hand insert product after inspection, seal packages and insert in final trays.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail in order to accurately prepare needed paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Request reprints for product that does not meet company standards.
  • Follows directions and instructions of Production Manager.
  • Notifies Production Manager of any quality issues, spoilage or reprints that are required.
  • Follows all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accurately.
  • Strong computer skills to navigate Zelis quality control systems for the various machines
  • Keep up with the quality control demand in a fast paced environment
  • Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies, department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Creates packing slips and paperwork for shipping vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience :

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required
  • 1-3 years' experience in a quality control environment preferred
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical Factors & Requirements :

  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Use standard office equipment
  • Operate manual pallet jack
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed, significant overtime will be required during busy periods
