Job description

Medical Assistant

Here's your opportunity to work at a brand new, state-of-the-art medical clinic, alongside a supportive team! We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is highly motivated, well-organized, and exceptionally detail-orientated to join our team at our new urgent care center in Concord, CA. You must be a team player with great customer service skills. We are seeking someone who is interested in building a future with our medical center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding, empathetic, patient-centric care
  • Take vitals and room patients in a timely fashion
  • Perform rapid screening tests (strep, influenza, mono, glucose, covid, etc.)
  • Ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the treating Physicians
  • Administer vaccines / injections
  • Perform phlebotomy duties
  • Audiogram and respirator fit testing
  • Set up and assist with wound care
  • All other required testing
  • Dispenses medications and appliances as ordered by the treating Physician
  • Monitor inventory
  • Attend staff meetings as required
  • Maintain and operate all medical devices, equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
  • Clean exam rooms and equipment
  • Restocking exam rooms
  • Manage patient flow and volume
  • Answer phone calls
  • Cross-trained to perform Front Office duties
  • Be flexible in taking on other duties as assigned by Center Administrator or Providers

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preeminent customer service (people-facing and empathy) skills
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize assignments and work
  • Office computer skills
  • Insurance billing knowledge a plus
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience, 1 year preferred
