Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is highly motivated, well-organized, and exceptionally detail-orientated to join our team at our new urgent care center in Concord, CA. You must be a team player with great customer service skills. We are seeking someone who is interested in building a future with our medical center.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding, empathetic, patient-centric care
- Take vitals and room patients in a timely fashion
- Perform rapid screening tests (strep, influenza, mono, glucose, covid, etc.)
- Ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the treating Physicians
- Administer vaccines / injections
- Perform phlebotomy duties
- Audiogram and respirator fit testing
- Set up and assist with wound care
- All other required testing
- Dispenses medications and appliances as ordered by the treating Physician
- Monitor inventory
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Maintain and operate all medical devices, equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures
- Clean exam rooms and equipment
- Restocking exam rooms
- Manage patient flow and volume
- Answer phone calls
- Cross-trained to perform Front Office duties
- Be flexible in taking on other duties as assigned by Center Administrator or Providers
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentPreeminent customer service (people-facing and empathy) skillsWell-developed time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize assignments and workOffice computer skillsInsurance billing knowledge a plusMedical Assistant Certification from an accredited schoolPrevious Medical Assistant experience, 1 year preferredIdeal Qualifications
