Location : Hybrid onsite in Culver City, CA
Schedule : 40 hours
Duration : 3 Months; potential to extend
Pay : ~73 / hr, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Studio Photo Manager to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 3-month contract, working a hybrid schedule in Culver City, CA.
Studio Photo Manager Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Extensive experience working with photographers, creating standardized processes, and working with cross functional teams
- Strong communication, project and time management skills, are incredibly organized and have a proven ability to work collaboratively with others - in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment
- Motivated self-starter who stays calm under pressure
- Enthusiastic about culture and lifestyle, with an eye for detail and craft-focused skills
Studio Photo Manager Description :
Oversee the studio photographer resourcing, use of photo studio space and cross functional communication for the Visuals Studio teamWork closely with Visuals Studio photo art directors and dedicated Radio studio photographers to monitor the artist visit photography captured at studios for on and off platform needsOccasionally work on projects across other services as wellWork closely with the artist relations team, navigating artist approvals and delivery of assetsDevelop and implement best practices for studio photography as international expansion happensManage studio photographer resourcingManage the use and schedule of the photo capture spaces in US based studiosPartner with cross-functional teams to support workflow transition, consulting on the best way to integrate the photo team workflow into the overall processTrack monthly artist visits, captures, performances, etc., noting when new trends occur and influence any support changes that are necessary as well as influence staffing strategiesAdvocate for the studio photographers - attend meetings, answer and coordinate image requests and deliver assetsTrack photo approvals, quality checking decks and links as neededDevelop strategy for process cross-functionally and internallyUpdate documentation around process to reflect changes made in real timeBe the point of contact between show producers and the radio studio photographers, managing the communication for availability, timeline feasibility and deliverablesPartner with teams outside of Radio to make sure they have the right assets ahead of deadlinesEstablish photo studio system in international markets and be the main point of contact in process set-upManage spatial content capture, SOiP efforts and collaborations captured in our studiosProvide creative and retouching feedback as needed to maintain photography standardsSupport the Serial team in the creative process for new radio show developmentOccasionally support studio captures onsite, which could require travel for shoots, events and new photographer assignment preparationsManage the quarterly photo studio budget, tracking orders for equipment replacements, studio bookings, production costs, etc.The staffing industry has seen an increase in people falsely representing themselves as recruiters to gather personal information from job seekers.
