Tool and Die Repair/Tool Maker
Dynacast, LLC, a Form Technologies Company, is a leading global manufacturer of small engineered precision components utilizing proprietary multi-slide die casting technology and tooling techniques.
We currently have an opening for a Tool and Die Repair / Tool Maker on 1st shift.
Pay : Starting at $25 hr., based on experience
Summary of Position :
Repairs existing dies and develops, cuts, shapes or forms metal work pieces to specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Make necessary adjustments to tooling; ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Troubleshoot and repair tooling that is not performing to standards.
- Works on all conventional machine tools except CNC-Equipment & Computer. (Unless otherwise authorized and assigned this responsibility.)
- Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
- Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.
- Responsible for following all safety procedures / regulations and keeping immediate work area clean.
- Additional projects may be assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Education / Experience :
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be familiar with precision measuring tools and have the ability to read blueprints.
