Description
Under the direction of the clinic manager, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative services within the Goldberg Migraine Clinic, act as a key patient contact in the appointment and registration desk area, and follow the world class practices of CI-CARE. You will schedule patients using the electronic medical records system, collect and update demographic information, and perform insurance verifications and authorizations as necessary. You will also greet and check-in patients and perform cash collections to ensure that proper procedures and policies are followed. As an Administrative Assistant II, you will act as a liaison between the patients, providers, nursing staff, etc. Other duties may be assigned by the clinic manager.
Salary Range : $26.42 - $37.49 / Hourly
Qualifications
Required :
Ability to communicate professionally and
effectively with physicians and staff in a high volume setting.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to
prioritize assignments.
Skill in efficiently and accurately facilitating the
appointment making process, including transportation arrangements and
maintain sub-specialty physician schedules
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to
coordinate multiple appointments with staff from many clinical services at
the UCLA Medical Center.
Preferred :
Skill in using a PC with associated programs
including Word, Excel, and email.
Skill in demonstrating work experience with a
database computer program.
Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types
of coverage provided.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
