VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview

At Believe in Me, we envision a future where every child has the self-confidence they need to succeed. We are a dedicated team, funding and supporting children's charities that provide marginalized kids with a safe place to call home, a loving family, a sense of community, and ample opportunities to learn, grow, self-esteem, and experience joy. We are currently developing the 1st Gen College Hub app, aimed at empowering first-generation college students with comprehensive resources, personalized guidance, and a supportive community.

Role Summary :

As a Volunteer Social Media Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital presence and community engagement across various social media platforms. Your creativity, strategic thinking, and passion for storytelling will help amplify our mission, engage our audience, and drive awareness of the 1st Gen College Hub app. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated volunteers to create compelling content that resonates with our audience and reflects our core values of caring, trustworthiness, innovation, and fairness.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation and Management : Develop and manage a content calendar that aligns with our project milestones, promotional campaigns, and community events. Create engaging, informative, and visually appealing content tailored to each social media platform.
• Audience Engagement : Actively engage with our community on social media by responding to comments, messages, and engaging in conversations that foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Analytics and Reporting : Monitor and report on the performance of social media campaigns and organic content. Use insights to inform future content strategies and increase engagement and reach.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the Marketing and Outreach Team to ensure cohesive messaging across all communication channels. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on project goals and promotional strategies.
• Brand Advocacy : Represent and advocate for the Believe in Me mission in all social media activities. Ensure all content is consistent with our brand voice, mission, and values.
