Your Role
As a Project Designer at CJ+C, you'll play a key role in executing innovative design projects, drawing on your technical proficiency and imaginative perspective to propel initiatives from inception to realization. With 5-10 years of experience, you're a skilled contributor to design-focused initiatives, specializing in user-centric solutions and supporting clients in achieving their goals. Your dedication to teamwork, mentoring junior talent, and enhancing design quality positions CJ+C as the ideal setting to elevate your career within a vibrant, rewarding, and passionately curious culture.
What You Will Do
Contribute significantly to projects across concept development, schematic refinement, detailed design, construction documentation, and site administration.
Offer technical and creative input, focusing on project coordination, production, and effective delivery.
Foster seamless collaboration with internal and external teams, professional consultants, and strategic partners.
Embrace an inside-out and outside-in design philosophy, contributing to iterative design processes with team members, using a wide variety of tools to communicate to the team and client, including hand sketching and 3d tools.
Partner with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
Assist in creating persuasive proposals and interview materials to pursue new project opportunities
Support and guide junior designers, contributing to multiple projects with high-quality outcomes while working with technical staff.
Facilitate client interactions to deliver project goals and maintain positive engagement.
Work closely with your team and across the firm to promote an interdisciplinary design approach, upholding CJ+Cs commitment to design excellence and technical innovation.
Your Qualifications
Actively working towards Licensure, Registered Architect, a significant plus
Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited university required.
5+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background in diverse project typologies and scales.
Strong ability to communicate and present design concepts and their rationales.
Skilled in addressing client needs, budget constraints, architectural opportunities, or challenges impacting design concepts.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and certifications.
Skilled in Revit, + SketchUp, Enscape, and / or other modeling software and Adobe Creative Suite.
Exceptional graphics and visualization skills to effectively convey design ideas.
Strong ability to build collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with key stakeholders.
