Behavioral Health Intake Therapist
Job Details
- Conducts clinical interview to gather, analyze and evaluate for potential admissions, including telehealth assessments.
- Responds to inquiries from individuals or family members seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
- Prepares diagnoses, treatment recommendations and referrals based on physician orders.
- Verifies insurance and obtains prior authorization based on payor requirements.
- Documents calls, related admission information and reviews all paperwork to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies.
- May provide crisis counseling on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in state of work
