We are seeking a full-time Site / Logistics Manager-Last Mile to lead delivery operations in a fast-paced environment. The Site / Logistics Manager is responsible for supporting the overall execution and performance of the operation for a specific location, including staffing, customer relations, performance, and direction of the overall operation.

This position requires a results-oriented, high-energy, dynamic individual in a fast-paced, high-growth delivery network.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Develop a solid understanding of the business scope.
• Cultivate and sustain a safe environment, high-quality customer delivery, professional driver experience, and a positive culture.
• Delivering in a timely and accurate manner packages to recipients
• Monitoring, verifying, communicating responding to and acting upon the information generated from packages out for delivery as well as responding in a timely manner to requests for information or inquiries from internal and external sources
• Following up on service issues, finding solutions and achieving resolution, closing out delivery day
• Building an operation that is capable of exceeding KPI’s, increasing volume and producing a profit
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff will be imperative.
• Manage and develop 3rd party vendors, providing objectives & challenging opportunities to advance the company’s Final Mile efforts
• Assist in the recruitment and development of staff and Independent Contractors.
• Ensure that practices, policies and procedures are enforced and consistently implemented.
• Schedule and participate in negotiations with Vendors, Contractors and Service Providers to secure best value / service standards are met.
• Active involvement in learning and reviewing P&L performance ensuring decisions and practices coincide with budgetary goals.
• Establish effective communication and relationships with customers to ensure performance measurements and goals are understood and achieved, and that new business opportunities are capitalized upon.
• Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term excellence.
• Responsible for compliance with Local, Federal and State legislation pertaining to personnel, equipment, vehicle and building matters.
• Coordinates, resolves, and responds to issues as they pertain to the Operations Performance.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

In addition to a robust skillset that includes the ability to work independently, problem-solve and communicate effectively, the ideal candidate will possess :

• 5 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting
• Experience with small package pickup and delivery company or a courier service or is a must.
• Must be very flexible with shift start times as well as days worked, including holidays.
• Experience with small parcel, receiving, processing, sorting, and shipping operations.
• Ability to rain, coach, and mentor warehouse associates and drivers.
• Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers
