Mechanic - Sterling

We are looking for an Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic in Sterling, VA. This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the maintenance and repair of ready-mix plants and facilities at various company locations throughout Northern Virginia.

This position utilizes efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs to ensure compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally sound maintenance activities.

Responsibilities :

• Perform Preventive Maintenance including lubrication, inspections, filter changes, and services.
• Repair and troubleshoot conveyor belts and their components.
• Fabricate hoppers and other plant parts as needed.
• Repair and troubleshoot 3-phase power up to 480 VAC.
• Must be able to troubleshoot control circuits, start and stop, and safety switches.
• Must be able to have basic knowledge of compressed air systems, including troubleshooting of compressors and repairs.
• Bulk storage systems, gates, aeration, and dust collection equipment.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb to heights of at least 50 feet frequently.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Be willing to work on ready-mix trucks and other mobile equipment as needed.
• Keeps the equipment being operated, clean and safe.

Qualifications :

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Have a valid Driver's License, required.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Ability to work well with others.
