Job description

Coverage Needed

  • September 22, 2025 - February 27, 2026
  • Monday to Friday, 6 : 45am - 5pm
  • Weekend Coverage : Likely 1 weekend per month
  • Night Call : Monday to Thursday, 4 : 30pm - 7am; Weekend Call : Friday 4 : 30pm - Monday 7pm

Clinical Details

  • Inpatient consults, inpatient surgical cases, pre & postoperative rounding
  • All rounding is done with an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
  • APP will create progress notes & consult notes; Surgeon will add their note and cosign
  • Weekend coverage includes rounding on all patients with a Physician Assistant (PA), only emergent cases to the OR, and all new consults
  • Support : Surgical PA is first call for all floor patients, CVICU has a Cardiothoracic Surgery APP in the unit most nights, Emergency Room will call surgeon if needed
