Job Duties :

  • Identify, justify, and manage capital equipment projects for production areas.
  • Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing, sales, marketing, engineering, quality and other teams to complete projects and meet EHS, production, quality, cost savings, and new product development goals within schedule and budget.
  • Manage multiple projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control and EHS compliance.
  • Define investment and expense needs, driving from preparing for approvals to completion.
  • Perform current state vs desired state gap assessment by conducting system and cross-functional multi-stakeholder discussions.
  • Participate in LEAN initiative and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements. Improve production processes based on quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
  • Integrate new designs into the production process. Interpret Design Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interface with internal departments (Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc.) to obtain resolution consensus.
  • Provide cost estimates on new and changed products or process changes.
  • Respond with production solutions for technical assistance including tooling, ergonomic improvements, machinery, material handling, parts fixturing, and area layouts.
  • Coordinate the creation and updating of manufacturing work instructions.
  • Perform and lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) of new products and existing ones.
  • Lead deployment and implementation of NPD into manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvements ideas to manufacturing processes though Kaizen events and Value stream maps (VSM)
  • Lead and effective drives problem solving events and activities as 8Ds and A3s.
  • Coordinate the creation and updating of Standards works and operation procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • Preferably a master’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly line environment.
  • Mandatory bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive post- baccalaureate experience in a manufacturing assembly line environment.
  • Preferable candidates who provided Mfg. Engineering in Powder & Wet Coating.

Of the required experience, must have :

  • 3 years of experience providing manufacturing engineering process improvement solutions using problem solving tools;
  • 3 years of experience with use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) to create, update, and modify manufacturing and facilities lay-outs;
  • 3 years of experience with application of Lean and Six Sigma tools;
  • 3 years of experience with Project management related to financial feasibility of manufacturing projects;
  • 3 years of experience providing daily production support related to manufacturing; and
  • 3 years of experience writing technical reports on manufacturing issues and solutions.
