CPC Certified Facility Coder

A company is looking for an IP / OBS / OPS facility coder.

Key Responsibilities

Abstract clinical information from medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10 and / or CPT-4 codes

Work with coding databases and confirm DRG and CPT assignments

Input and maintain data for state or other reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

Associate degree may be required

AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or AHIMA RHIT or CCS active credentials required

Typically requires 4+ years of related coding experience

Proficiency in coding across multiple specialties

Works under moderate supervision and collaborates with the coding team
