Senior Controller (Temporary)

A company is looking for a Senior Controller on a temporary contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll for US and Canadian entities

Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare financial statements, and oversee tax compliance activities

Conduct a review of existing finance processes, identify inefficiencies, and draft a strategic roadmap for the finance department

Required Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a Controller or Senior Finance leadership role

Experience managing full-cycle accounting and reporting for multiple countries, specifically the US and Canada

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with Canadian GAAP / IFRS

Proven experience in both tactical execution and strategic oversight in a hands-on role

Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of managing a team in a high-pressure environment
