Prospective Teacher TK-12 Substitute (2024-25)
Guest teachers will receive $337.07 / day.
DESCRIPTION :
Substitute teachers receive short-term assignments to cover teacher absences from the classroom and are responsible for following lesson plans to maintain and further student learning.
Successful applicants will receive assignments through SmartFind Express substitute scheduling system.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- This position requires at minimum an Emergency Substitute Teacher Permit for Prospective Teachers issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
- Candidates can qualify to apply for this Permit if they are enrolled in a regionally-accredited four-year California college or university, have a minimum of 90 semester units and have passed the CBEST exam

- Negative TB test current within past 60 days
- Sealed copies of all college transcripts
- Valid Driver's License, ID card, Permanent Residency Card or current US passport
- Social Security Card (no copies)
- Printout of your current credential
- Proof of passing CBEST or equivalent coursework
All hires are contingent on applicant passing criminal background check.
