The Department of Urology at Duke University is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in the subspecialty of endourology.
Candidates must be board certified in urology and have fellowship training and expertise in the medical and surgical management of stone disease and BPH.
Responsibilities include : * Skill in open, endoscopic, and percutaneous, management of urinary stone disease and in the use of shock wave lithotripsy.
- Participation in multi-faculty endourologic practice, the applicant must be team-oriented, flexible, and a good communicator.
- Ability to metabolically evaluate and medically treat patients with recurrent nephrolithiasis, or are at high risk for recurrent stone disease.
Have the skill set to successfully perform holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP)* Participate in research within the Division of Endourology including investigator-initiated clinical trials, extramural industry and / or government sponsored research grants.
Ability to independently design and lead research and clinical trials as a member of the Duke Endourology group.* Education, career and academic mentorship of medical students, urology residents, and urologic endourology fellows is expected.
