This is a hands-on, in-office leadership role based in Raleigh, NC, supporting a network of regional sales representatives and overseeing a dynamic customer and client support team responsible for order management, inventory control, and post-sales coordination.

Job Details

The Director of Customer and Sales Operations will oversee day-to-day operations for order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and customer communication while leading a multi-site service and sales support organization. You’ll support a large network of sales representatives, ensuring alignment between field activity and back-office execution.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of customer and sales support professionals.
  • Own all aspects of order processing, invoicing, returns, and credit management.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Corporate Accounts to ensure seamless coordination and accurate fulfillment.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex customer issues, pricing exceptions, and contract execution.
  • Drive process improvement across CRM and ERP workflows to improve accuracy, visibility, and efficiency.
  • Oversee key operational metrics (KPI tracking, inventory accuracy, service levels) and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve systems integration, including SAP and CRM modernization initiatives.
  • Manage staffing, training, and performance to meet service capacity and succession needs.
  • Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership in Sales Operations, Order Management, or Customer Service.
  • Proven success managing teams that support both sales and customer operations.
  • Strong background in process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience supporting distributed sales organizations across North America.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
  • French language ability is a plus.

    Salary Range : $120K–$150K (depending on experience)

    Location : Raleigh, NC — In-office position
