Aerial Foreman - Schofield/Wausau, WI

TekCom Resources is seeking an Aerial Foreman for a permanent-hire role with a fast-growing telecom construction company in the Schofield / Wausau market!

As Aerial Foreman, you will be heading up crews engaged in "strand-and-lash" aerial telecom construction in and around the Schofield / Wausau area.

Your work will take you up to two hours away from Schofield, so a good driving record is required for this role. There is a potential for some evening work depending on need, but the bulk of your work will be during daytime hours.

There will be a company vehicle available for driving to and from sites.

Your primary duties will involve :

• Employing equipment necessary for set up and execution of aerial fiber construction, including a bucket truck, caddies, and strand / fiber trailer.
• Assisting crew in completing projects - you will be physically involved in the work, not just supervising.
• Ensure safe construction by maintaining adequate clearances from other utilities, roads, etc.
• Oversight of and assistance with lashing / overlashing of cable.
• Climbing poles via ladders or gaffs when necessary.
• Reading and understanding fiber construction-oriented prints.

Our client would love to see these traits in your background :

• At least 1-2 years of aerial fiber / cabling installation experience.
• Supervisory experience is not required but it is HIGHLY valuable.
